BUILD
Contest 48CS, Hull no. 119, built in Holland in 1998 by Contest Yachts to a Dick Zaal / Georg Nissen design. GRP hull is AwlGrip Navy Blue with white striping (2009), white superstructure and teak laid decks.
Fin keel, rudder in skeg with round bilged hull. Whitlock wheel steering and emergency tiller. Fuel tanks: 580L; freshwater tanks: 2 x 375L and 2 black-water tanks (now essential for Mediterranean sailing!).
ACCOMMODATION DETAILS
Classic Dutch built teak interior joinery with check upholstery protecting white Alcantara suede, plain beige curtains all round.
Large saloon with curved settee around dining table to starboard with chart table opposite with upholstered seat.
Galley in passageway to aft cabin has double s/s sink unit with purified water tap, 3 x burner Force 10 Gas Hob with oven, Microwave, sea-water cooled Refrigerator with freezing compartment and separate Freezer. Webasto DW-90 heating/hot water.
Large aft owner's cabin has centreline double berth with thick mattress and adjustable base slats. En-suite Jabsco Quiet Flush macerator heads and separate shower compartment.
Fore-cabin has double V berth and side cabin has two single bunk berths. Second Jabsco Quiet Flush heads and shower compartment forward.
Sony Bravia 27” TV with 1000gb AVI player (200 movies capacity) CD player with 2 x speakers in saloon and 2 in cockpit.
Extra power points for Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, mobile phones, hand-held VHFs and other miscellaneous chargers.

Aluminium spinnaker boom, Sails - De Vries genoa and Sanders main sail plus spinnaker. One new steadying sail. Winches: 4 electric and 2 manual in cockpit plus 2 manual on the mast.
NAVIGATION
Raymarine G17 pedestal mounted display for Transas Europe wide navigation suite linked via computer to 2x WAAS GPS (one spare). Furuno 1832 radar. Icom VHF with DSC including mast-mounted horn & loud-hailer. Navtex. plus one spare. Radar reflector and SeaMe active radar transponder. AIS transmission and reception. Raymarine Autopilot with Raymarine wind instrument on pedestal. 6 large digital Tacktic instruments mounted above companion-way. Emergency strobe light on mast head.
